It is a sad admission
that despite having owned at least one guitar for the past many
years, I still can't actually play a single song. Not all the way
through. Not a single one!
I'm pretty sure I know why . . . my ability to play, or rather
not as is the case, is directly proportional to my self esteem.
On the rare occasions that I feel 'up' a tune will seem
tantalizingly only just beyond my reach. When I'm down, if I pick
up the guitar at all, I might just as well be tone deaf and have
arthritis.
